Dianne Louise-Herring
Diane has been involved with music since she was 14 when she began DJing. At music college she passed exams in keyboard and sound engineering. She worked as a sound engineer for bands, editing using reel to reel tape.
Her first involvement with radio saw her producing and presenting on a Northern Soul show on BBC Radio Lancashire.
She joined Wrightington Hospital Radio (now WWL Radio) in 2008 and was elected to the Committee because of her superior knowledge of radio engineering and equipment. She later became Chair of the station and has overseen several studio updates and upgrades.
She has built her own studio at home where she prefers to play “real” records.
Outside the radio she enjoys playing records, keyboards and bass guitar and has become a qualified train driver and signal operator on a heritage railway line. You can listen to her Ladies Night Show Sundays 8-10pm here on Starhits Radio.
